Pre-match coefficient is the value of the coefficient before the start of the match. In BetLab algorithms it can be used to select matches. For example, to leave only games in which the pre-match coefficient on Over 2.5 was in the range from 2.00 to 3.00.
For which markets it is used
Pre-match coefficient ranges can be set for the main markets: match result, totals, both teams to score, individual totals, handicaps, corners and yellow cards. The available set of markets depends on the data provider.
Why take the pre-match coefficient into account
The pre-match coefficient reflects the preliminary assessment of the outcome probability taking into account the bookmaker’s margin. With its help you can select, for example, matches with a clear favourite, roughly equal teams or certain expectations regarding scoring.
Lower boundary of the range
If the “From” field is left empty, matches for which the pre-match coefficient is missing may enter the selection. To exclude such matches it is necessary to specify the lower boundary of the range.
