The Kosovo Superliga U19 is the top-tier youth football competition in Kosovo, nurturing the next generation of stars through high-stakes matches focused on skill development and tactical maturity. Running from autumn to spring, it draws fans eager to spot future talents in intense fixtures.

History and foundation

Launched in the early 2000s amid Kosovo's path to independence in 2008, the league integrated into the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) structure, gaining UEFA recognition in 2016. Early turbulence from political unrest gave way to stability post-2010. The 2018/19 season shone with Prishtina U19's 12-win streak to the title. A 2022 match-fixing scandal prompted reforms, enhancing integrity.

Tournament format

Featuring 10-12 teams from senior Superliga clubs like Treffoshta, Ballkani, and Drita, the format is a double round-robin (36-44 matches). Points crown the champion, with top-3 advancing to European youth qualifiers. Games occur on club grounds, limiting foreign players to three per squad.
