Launched in the 1980s amid Greece's youth football push, the modern era began in 1992 with Olympiacos U19's dominant win over PAOK. Iconic moments include Panathinaikos U19's 2010 penalty shootout triumph against AEK and PAOK's 2018 final with a hat-trick hero. The cup has launched careers like Grigoris Georgalis from AEK, who broke into senior football and European competitions.

Tournament format

Single-elimination format with 32–64 teams. Early rounds on lower-division pitches, two-legged ties from round of 16 to quarterfinals. Final on neutral venue like OAKA in Athens. Runs September to May alongside the senior Greek Cup.
