In the Uruguayan league match, Montevideo City Torque and Peñarol ended in a 1-1 draw. The hosts took the lead in the very first minute, and this goal remained the only one of the first half. Both sides played cautiously afterwards, avoiding unnecessary risks.

Statistically, Peñarol had a clear advantage in corners and yellow cards, while ball possession and dangerous attacks were almost equal. Neither team converted a penalty, and no red cards were shown. The final draw reflects the balance of power in this encounter.
