In an Israeli second-division clash, Ashdod secured a narrow 1-0 home win over Maccabi Herzliya. The only goal came in the very first minute, allowing the hosts to settle into a controlled performance. With 61 % possession and five corners to three, Ashdod dictated the tempo and kept the visitors at bay. Despite picking up two yellow cards, they rarely looked troubled and comfortably held on to the three points.
