In a second-division match of the Liga Piauiense, Flamengo Teresina edged out Comercial Piauí 1-0 at home. The only goal came in the very first minute, and the hosts managed to hold on to their slim lead until the final whistle. Despite having less possession, Flamengo Teresina looked more organized defensively and prevented the visitors from creating clear-cut chances. Statistically, the home side generated more dangerous attacks (88 to 74) and earned five corners compared to four. Although Comercial Piauí enjoyed 56 % of the ball against 44 %, they were unable to convert that edge into goals. Seven yellow cards were shown to the hosts and four to the guests, but no players were sent off.
