On 1 October 2026, in the UAE Cup, Bani Yas hosted Al Wahda Abu Dhabi. The hosts took an early lead, scoring twice in the first half to lead 2:0 at the break. Although the visitors pulled one goal back after the interval, they could not turn the game around. The final score was 3:1 in favour of Bani Yas.

Despite having less possession (44 % vs 56 %) and fewer corners (2 vs 5), the home side proved more clinical in front of goal. Al Wahda created more attacking moves, yet failed to convert their opportunities. Both teams finished the match with minimal cards and no dismissals.
