In the UAE Cup clash, Al-Sharjah edged Al-Dafra 2-1. The hosts struck as early as the first minute and held a 1-0 lead at half-time. Although the visitors pulled one back after the break, they could not find an equaliser. Al-Sharjah enjoyed 53 % possession and earned one fewer corner, but their attacking play proved more clinical. Both sides received one yellow card, and no red cards or penalties were awarded.
