The Vietnamese Women's Championship (V-League Women) is the top-tier women's football league in Vietnam, run by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). History and foundation

Launched in 1997 as a national championship, the modern V-League Women took shape in the 2010s. A milestone was 2018, when Vietnam's U-19 team reached the Asian Championship quarterfinals, boosting the sport. Hoa Gia is the record holder with 10 titles. The 2020 pandemic shortened the season, but resilience shone through. In 2023, Phong Nha Quang Binh claimed their first crown, ending the favorites' dominance and injecting fresh excitement.

Tournament format

The season runs April to October, with 10–12 teams in a double round-robin format (22–26 matches each), culminating in playoffs. Champions earn the title and AFC Women's Champions League entry.
