The Morocco Women's Cup is a premier national knockout competition organized by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. It brings together top women's clubs from across the country, offering a platform for intense battles, upsets, and the emergence of new talents in Moroccan women's soccer.

History and foundation

Launched in the early 2000s amid the global rise of women's football, the first edition kicked off in 2003. It has evolved significantly, expanding from 8 to 16+ teams in the 2010s following federation reforms. Memorable moments include the 2015 shock win by a Casablanca underdog over Rabat giants and its role in fueling the Atlas Lionesses national team—many cup winners debuted there. The 2022 final drew a record 10,000 fans, marking a milestone for women's sports in Morocco.

Tournament format

A classic single-elimination format with rounds from the last 16 to the final, spanning 5-6 stages. 16-24 teams from regional leagues compete, with matches decided by extra time and penalties if tied. The season runs from October to May, aligning with the African club calendar, and home venues infuse local passion.
