The Belarusian Cup is the premier knockout football competition in Belarus, sanctioned by the Football Federation of Belarus. Featuring teams from the top flight, First and Second Leagues, down to amateurs, it has run annually since 1992, offering underdogs a shot at glory and a UEFA Conference League spot. It's a fan favorite for its drama and upsets.

History and foundation

Roots trace to 1936 in the Byelorussian SSR championship, won by Dinamo Minsk. Revived post-Soviet era in 1992. Highlights include BATE's 2006 dominance, Gomel’s 2012 triumph, and second-division Mozyr's 1994 shock win over favorites. Dinamo Minsk leads with over 30 titles, but Torpedo-BelAZ (2019) and others prove parity possible.

Tournament format

Single-elimination format with up to 100 entrants. Preliminary rounds for lower tiers lead to the main draw from the round of 32. Early rounds are two-legged in some cases, but from last 16 onward, single ties. Semis and final on neutral grounds. Winner bags €150,000 UEFA prize and European qualification.
