Tournament format
The tournament follows a round-robin format with 10–12 teams from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh regions. The season runs March to October to avoid winter snow. The winner earns promotion to India's Super Division League (third tier) and the Governor's Cup. Top-8 teams enter playoffs with quarterfinals on neutral grounds in Jammu for security.
