Módulo II of the Campeonato Mineiro is the second tier of one of Brazil's oldest and most prestigious state tournaments, organized by the Minas Gerais Football Federation (FMF). It features clubs from Minas Gerais state vying for promotion to the elite Módulo I and survival. The history of Módulo II dates back to 1951 with FMF's inaugural second division. It modernized in 1977. Uberlândia dominated the 1970s-80s with multiple titles. Tournament format
